On August 21, 2009, Hawai'i celebrated its 50th year of statehood. In honor of the event, we've gathered some information about Hawai'i and created special art activities. The Discover Hawai'i section is not intended to be comprehensive, nor scholarly. There are many resources available in libraries and online that go into greater detail. However, we hope the material presented here will inspire and help as you develop a unit of study about our 50th state.
